Summer Camps
Youth Tennis Camp
Day: Monday - Thursday
Dates: TBA
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Cost: $160 per week | Discounts are available to families and to those who sign up for multiple weeks.
Age: 5 years - 18 years
Location: Pelham Tennis Center
Our summer camps are geared toward beginner and intermediate players, ages five to 15. Our goal is to provide all beginners with a strong foundation of strokes in a friendly and fun environment. Register online or call 205.621.3380 to sign up.
Adventure Camp
Day: Monday - Friday

Time: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $185
Age: 8 years - 12 years
Location: Pelham Recreation Center
Registration opens March 2, 2026, for residents and March 9, 2026, for non-residents.
Adventure Camp is a place where campers spend time in the outdoors, challenge themselves and make new friends. With a balance of nature connection and adventure activities campers will connect with the natural world in multiple ways. Campers will get to experience a stream walk down the Cahaba River, rock climbing at UAB, and hiking, along with several other planned activities. Join us for a week of fun under the sun!
Pelham Parks and Recreation will provide lunch Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Campers are welcome to bring their own lunch if they prefer. Each camper will receive an adventure camp t-shirt. Space is limited. For additional information, please email Will Mayhall or call 205-620-6426.

Clinics
Youth Volleyball Clinic
Day: Tuesday

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Cost: $20/child
Age: 8 years - 12 years
Location: Pelham Rec Center
This 3-hour clinic introduces basic skill development of indoor and sand volleyball as we spend time both indoor on the court and outdoor on the sand. Bring water, snacks, towel and tennis shoes/socks for indoor and flip flops for after the sand.
Clinic be run by Birmingham Beach Volleyball.

Youth Pickleball Clinic

Cost: $18/person
Age: 16 & up
Location: Pelham Recreation Center
Learn the fastest growing sport in America. Join us for Youth Pickleball, currently being played in the schools. Learn the four basic shots: serve, volley, drives and the start to dinking. Basic Strategy and court positioning will also be taught. Space is limited.

Dance Classes For Children
We are thrilled to partner with Tippi Toes® to provide dance classes for several ages and skill levels. There will be an opportunity to participate in optional winter and spring recitals on a local stage, complete with professionally designed costumes. (with exception of the Toddler and Me class).
Tippi Toes® Dance Company cheerfully provides children with a fun, positive, and nurturing environment to experience the joy of dance, self-expression, and movement. Classes are specifically designed to develop motor skills and body awareness while enhancing each child’s self-esteem. Tippi Toes® Dance Company’s award-winning dance classes have a remarkable impact on social and developmental growth. Classes develop the imagination, critical thinking and sharpen both cognitive and creative skills.
Toddler and Me
Day: Saturdays
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Cost: $65/month
Age: 18 months - 3 years
Location: Pelham Recreation Center
Toddler & Me dance classes are for children 18 months up to the age of 3 years. Music, movement, balance and basic dance steps are introduced in a fun, friendly and positive manner. This type of class includes mom, dad or another loved one participating in the class along with the little dancer. Our teachers will keep the music and curriculum moving along while parents take an active role in encouraging, supporting and keeping the child on track. Ballet slippers are suggested for proper foot movement. However, they are not required for this age.
Ballet, Tap and Jazz
Day: Saturdays
Time: 10:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Cost: $72/month
Age: 3 years - 5 years
Location: Pelham Recreation Center
For ages 3-5, This fun dance class incorporates ballet, tap, jazz & technique while also encouraging self-expression and creativity. High energy music is used throughout the class to get dancers moving and having fun! Our Tippi Toes staff follows a curriculum that guides your child in learning the basics of dance. At the completion of each semester, there will be a big recital on stage at a local venue, complete with professionally-made costumes.
*Child must be 3-years-old and potty-trained to participate
Tippi Pro Combo
Day: Thursdays
Time: 5:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.
Cost: $72/month
Age: 3 years - 5 years
Location: Pelham Recreation Center
Tippi Pro is a combo class for children ages 6-10 that incorporates ballet, tap, and jazz technique while also encouraging self-expression and creativity. High energy music is used throughout the class to get dancers moving and having fun! Our teacher helps guide the dancers as they learn specific dance moves and learn dance terms. At the completion of each semester, there will be a big recital on stage at a local venue, complete with professionally-made costumes.
