The Pelham Police Department is proud to host the 8th Annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics January 13, 2018 at Oak Mountain State Park. All proceeds from the event go to the Alabama Law Enforcement Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics Alabama.
Advance registration is open now for individuals and teams. The cost to take the plunge as an individual is $35. Four people can register to plunge as a team for $120.
A costume contest is held just before the Polar Plunge each year. The entry fee for that is $5.
High school students can take the plunge at a discounted rate of $25. This year, we’ve taken it a step further and have created a friendly competition among area high schools. The school that raises the most money for Special Olympics will win a free pep rally from iHeart Radio.
The cost of registration increases the day of the event.
