New Water Main Replacement Project Underway

The City of Pelham is replacing old PVC water mains with new ductile iron pipes, shown here.

To provide more reliable water service to our customers, the City will be replacing the water main along the west side of King Valley Drive, beginning near the intersection of King Valley Drive and C.R. 52 and ending near the intersection of King Valley Drive and King Valley Circle. As with all construction projects, there will be some inconveniences from time to time, including some traffic disruptions and several short-duration water outages when connections are made to the existing system. We will do our best to minimize inconveniences related to this work.

We anticipate the contractor to begin work the third week of March 2023, with the project taking approximately 3 months to complete and ending around June/July 2023. This timeline is approximate and could change due to factors outside the City's or contractor’s control, such as weather, material availability, etc.
