The City of Pelham Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated and organized full-time Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the department and will assist in managing day-to-day activities, including coordinating events, handling communication, and maintaining records.

- Performs varied clerical office functions such as word-processing, filing and telephone work as needed. Receives and answers questions from department visitors; receives sales calls and vendors.
- Maintains inventory of department vehicles; maintains keys for vehicles and department buildings.
- Responds to citizens, salespersons, contractors, etc. concerning policies, procedures, information and guidelines with regard to department operations; receives complaints from public, triages and assigns follow up to the appropriate department manager as needed.
- Orders supplies and equipment for the department.
- Maintains project files.
- Maintains vendor files, tracks purchases.
- Tracks department projects and maintains calendar of important due dates.
- Facility permitting usage forms.
- Performs all purchasing related functions, including but not limited to, orders and PO/invoice processing.
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with others.
Education/Experience: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent plus three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation: Compensation for this position is $47,156.00 - $64,268.00, depending on experience, education, and other training. The City of Pelham offers an excellent benefits package.
